The final day of the Nano Symposium exceeded expectations in meeting its key objectives by bringing together some of the world’s leading scientists to share information on the latest research, development and applications of nanotechnology.
All those in attendance at the event at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston listened to various discussions about nanotechnology along with how academics and industrial organisations could better collaborate to bring new functional materials to market.
Nine speakers made up the panel in a Question Time-style debate that gave academics and industrial representatives the opportunity to hear the challenges each faced in research, development and collaboration in the future. The frank discussion was a positive step forward in creating a genuine understanding of the requirements for lasting collaborations.
Feedback from the event was extremely positive and was mainly focused on the positive discussion session as well as many requests for a follow up event.
